What “no markup” means
- Meta bills you, not walpio. Meta's per-message charges go on your own Meta account and your own payment method. Meta can bill in dirhams: AED has been one of its billing currencies since 1 April 2026.
- Nothing passes through walpio. There is no wallet to top up and no fee per message on top of Meta's price.
- walpio's price is the plan. The same monthly amount whatever mix of messages you send, up to your plan's allowance.
- You can see what Meta counted. Status callbacks carry the pricing category Meta reports for each message.

An example, not a quote. A business on the Starter plan sends, in one month from 1 October 2026, to customers with UAE numbers:

- Meta's rates: Meta's published rates for the United Arab Emirates as of 25 September 2026, for messages from 1 October 2026 (Meta's pricing page). Meta charges for delivered messages; the example assumes every one was delivered. Meta changes its rates every quarter and lowers utility rates in volume tiers for large senders, so check its current page for your own markets.
- The dirham column: Meta's charges at Meta's own dirham rates (if your Meta account bills in AED); walpio's plan at the fixed peg of 3.6725 dirhams to the dollar, because walpio invoices in US dollars. Taxes, where they apply, are not included.
- walpio's allowance: the 2,900 messages sent in the example are within Starter's 3,000 messages / month; replies you send count, messages customers send you do not.
- A bigger month: 25,000 utility notifications to UAE numbers on the Growth plan come to $392.50 for Meta (AED 1,440.00) plus $79 for walpio: $471.50 in all, before any volume discount from Meta.
- Keep a payment method on your Meta account. From 1 October 2026, without one, Meta stops delivering your replies once the month's free 1,000 are used.
Billing, limits and tax
- Currency and billing. Prices are in US dollars (USD) per month, and walpio invoices in US dollars. The dirham (AED) amounts are the same prices at the UAE's fixed peg of 3.6725 dirhams to the dollar, shown for reference. Plans are agreed with you in writing and invoiced directly by walpio; taxes, where they apply, are shown on the invoice. See the cancellation & refund policy.
- Meta's charges are separate. Meta bills its per-message charges to your own Meta account at Meta's rates — templates by category and country and, from 1 October 2026, service replies beyond 1,000 per number per month. How Meta pricing works.
- What counts as a message. Each outbound message Meta accepts from your workspace in a calendar month (UTC); messages customers send you are not counted. Go over and sending continues while we agree the right plan with you — or ask for a hard monthly cap.
